At the top of the hill

At the top of a hill, which is really a water reservoir, not far from the centre of Newcastle there is a huge white obelisk. At the base of the obelisk is a round monument, about the size and shape of a sundial, which gives directions to all the water sources for the city. The obelisk can be seen for miles out to sea, and in the reverse you can see for miles from there. Today there was no one there. Girl tried out her climbing skills and dog tried to round up seagulls!
