A Photo of Photos

Doors, windows and arches. Everywhere in Venice there are wonderful architectural features. The chimney pots (which are designed to stop sparks from flying out over the city, thus reducing the risk of major  fires), those stunning Gothic Venetian arches that are pointed at the top and the intricate carvings on lintels and sills.  Behind every window and doorway there is a story.  Many of the photos that I took in Venice were of architectural features and, apart from from translating them into sketches, I have mounted a series of them on the wall.p1020080
