What shall I draw today?

One of the things I have let slip in my life is satisfying my inner artist, so Venice has been a place to nurture this part of me.    Not only does it give you a focus, but it makes you look at things differently.   Buildings become shapes and shadows.   Perspective becomes a point int he distance that centres everything.   Windows become something to wonder about and doors lead to somewhere else.   It was totally impractical to sit outside and sketch for hours, so what I would do it take a photo and then work on it during the evening (with a glass of red for additional inspiration).    These are some of those images, some I have already sketched, others will wait for another day.
